From New Zealand and Australia mānuka honey is created by bees that pollinate mānuka bushes. With no added chemicals, mānuka honey has amazing antimicrobial properties as well as being anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and having anti-septic qualities.
In addition to being a wonderful moisturizer, mānuka honey can kill acne causing bacteria and generally improve your skin’s appearance. It has been used, also, for helping to improve treatment of wound infections and other conditions.
